Do you love live music?

The bands that are featured at this year’s Sertoma Oktoberfest event include: The Norman Jackson Band, Fishing for Saturday, The Oom-Pah-Sters, Sabrina and The Howler’s, and The Garbonzos. We will have live music throughout the entire weekend for everyone to enjoy. Come out Friday, September 29th and Saturday, September 30th to hear what these great bands have to offer. The Norman Jackson Band will take the Main Stage on Friday from 5pm to 7pm followed by Fishing For Saturday from 7pm to 9pm. Saturday on the Main Stage we will have The Oom-Pah-Sters from 3pm to 6pm followed by Sabrina and The Howler’s from 7pm to 9pm. The Garbonzos will be roaming around and playing on both days during the event hours.

The Oom-Pah-Sters

Friday from 6-10pm in the Gazebo & Saturday 3:00 – 6:00pm on the Main Stage

The Oom-Pah-Sters are a lively Polka Band from Lebanon, Tennessee. They have featured at many Oktoberfest events throughout the United States and are extremely entertaining to see live. The Oom-Pah-Sters will be playing from 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm Friday night and throughout the day on Saturday. To find out more information about The Oom-Pah-Sters check them out here.

The Garbonzo’s

Based in Springfield, Missouri, The Garbonzo’s sound is influenced by the hillbilly, polka side of the Ozark Mountains. The Garbonzo’s have been delighting audiences for over 20 years throughout the Midwest. Fishing for Saturday is a band of young musicians playing rock and pop music based in Springfield, Missouri. This band is made up of students studying at Pellegrino’s School of Music. Ranked 3rd in the World at the 2016 International Blues Challenge Finals, “The Soul Machine” Norman Jackson and his band guarantee that when they play the Blues you will, “Get Your Happy On!”  Norman is the genuine article, growing up in Detroit and Chicago, he learned from the true Blues and Soul masters.  Norman began to apprentice his saxophonist, Rick Shortt from the age of 12, who is now the turbine engine of the band playing lead on the saxophone as a wild showman.  His nephew, the Boogieman was born and bred to be his drummer while adopting Danny Williams as his bassist from his church congregation they form a rock steady rhythm section that will cause your hips to shake. “The Baddest Soul Band in the Land” will take you on a journey through the stories of their lives filled with laughter and showmanship laced with virtuoso mastery that will make everyone “Get Down and Get Happy”! Sabrina & The Howler’s

A belting lead vocal, sensational sax, screaming lead guitar, thumping bass, and a powerhouse drummer join together to deliver Rock ‘N Soul! Sabrina Deets has been playing music in Springfield for years. She started out at open mic nights and now plays all over the midwest. Sabrina and the Howlers consist of Sabrina Deets (Vocals/Guitar), Reed Herron (Bass), Alisha Schroeder (Drums), Cole Gurley (Saxophone), and Benjamin Harrel (Lead Guitar).
